Messaging, The Media and Democrats

Does the Democratic Party have a plan to even the playing field in the Media (television, cable, newspapers, radio), now that companies like Clear Channel, FOX, Disney, Viacom, etc. have monopolized and taken away freedom of the airwaves - in favor of a more propagandistic (see Pentagon + military commentators), right-wing everything (see...well, anyone but Keith Olbermann or Jon Stewart) opinion-based reporting structure? Do you have an opinion about the Fairness Doctrine?

    Additional questions: Can we see some version of net neutrality passed? Can we be assured that no company will be allowed to favor its own content over that of competitors or prevent users from accessing any portion of the net on an equal basis? Will we see them required to deliver all content on an equal basis and give each user equal access (based on how much they pay)?
