Why hasn't Congress amended No Child Left Behind?

My Democratic Congressman told me the party wants NCLB to be a talking point for the upcoming elections. Yet every year that goes by, our children continue to be damaged by this bill in its current form. Why has Congress ignored the demands to amend NCLB or throw it out entirely? Is Congress and our party really placing their needs to win elections over doing what is best for our children?

Wow! I had no idea this was the cause of our kids failing education!

About 40 years ago, we had similar problems. Students being passed on to the next grade, who could not read!

Just give the parents vouchers and see how fast Johnny can read and write and think!
