Madame Speaker,
As I am sure you are aware, your low approval ratings stem directly from the perception that Congress, especially it's leadership, have capitulated to, enabled and defended the most unpopular President in modern American history.
Recently, after examining all the evidence, a bipartisan Senate committee concluded that the administration did, in fact, lie us into the war in Iraq. Also, former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellen recently testified under oath about the administration's involvement in the outting of an undercover intelligence agent. After hearing that testimony, a representative in attendence called for impeachment hearings based upon that testimony.
Your oath of office requires that you uphold the Constitution which all evidence indicates has been corrupted and abused at the highest levels. The logical consequence of not upholding the Constitution is that it is undermined and citizen confidence in our govenment will rightfully plummet.
My question is this - Why do you continue on this path when the facts do not support you and the only result of your inaction has been that your approval ratings are lower than those of the least popular president in modern American history?
