Madame Speaker,
Many, many thanks for all the great things you do!
Is there a webcam of Senate and Congressional sessions? Wouldn't it be wonderful if citizens could watch Congressional sessions on the Internet?
How about turning a webcam project into a student intern program with commentary, links, graphics, etc. Perhaps local colleges with Broadcast Journalism programs could participate
I searched for a Senate webcam today in an effort to follow the FISA proceedings.
If a congressional webcam exists, it's not high on Google rankings.

Try C-SPAN.org. C-Span channels 1,2,and 3 are webcast live, and you are also to watch recordings of prior proceedings on line.
C-Span is really a great resource that way.

That's why we have c-span and oversight hearings take place live. Webcasts of all oversight hearings are available on the committee's website. Congress is still 20 years behind the rest of us. They still don't know how to recover the e-mails that the Bush administration destroyed and the hard drives they smashed to avoid criminal charges. Do you really think that Congress could manage such an every day event? Hardly!!

Unfortunately, C-Span is a private entity that owns and asserts copyright on all of their material. I once tried to get copies of video from their archives (it's only available online for a limited time), and found that the prices they charge are way out of reach for most individuals. We really should at least have videos of Congress available in the public domain.
