FISA Facilitates Fraud - How can citizens protect themselves?

Greetings Madame Speaker,

This is a great effort, thank you for initiating AskTheSpeaker.org!

I'm loath to add to the the angst you already hear about FISA. How can we protect our citizens and our national security from the private intelligence contractors monitoring our telephone and internet communications?

Competitors (or foreign governments) who want trade secrets, R&D plans, bid details, intellectual property or copies of confidential communications can hire well placed private contractors to obtain them.

60-70% of our $60 billion annual national intelligence budget is paid to private contractors. Private contractors help monitor all telephone and internet communications for the federal government.

Some of these private contractors are corrupt or have weak internal controls. They all have their own agendas.

There is no independent oversight, control or accountability of private intelligence contractor activities.

FISA presents dangerous intellectual property security issues that threaten our ability to compete effectively in the future.

How can we protect our citizens from corrupt government contractors who are part of (and protected by) our War on Terrorism?

I am fighting this problem now. Corrupt government contractors are positioned to monitor and disrupt our telephone and internet communications systems before the November elections. What can we do to protect ourselves and our national security from the people and organizations monitoring us?

I am so angry at what this woman has done to our country. I had hoped that she would have been a bright light when she was elected Speaker; instead she has done more damage to this country in less than 2 years than Bush did in 8. Shame, shame.
