Troop support
Republican talking heads tell us that if we put a bumper sticker made in China on the back of our SUV, then somehow we're supporting the troops.
Meanwhile, thanks to Repuplican-sponsored budget bills, Congress continues to spend Billions of dollars a week in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But if that's the case, why are our soldiers forced to beg for care packages that include such basic sundries as toothpaste, protein bars and tampons?

Ok I understand your question what can we do about it? Well what I think might work is "begging." Begging other Citizens to help you solve this problem. If you state a consise statement of what we need to do as Citizens to help our Troops come home, then perhaps other will jump onboard and with a quota of followers some one may have the exact fix. Here in Phoenix AZ we have a group of women (CLUB) that gets donated items and packs them up to send to the troops. But my question is WHY isn't the govern meant providing what every soldier needs daily as they are required to do as "custodian of the people." If you are really concerned about this I think you should go forward with it, It is a good cause. Others may like to help you with the solution. I personally think that only New Citizens should have to go to war. If they want to become Americians then let them earn it. I really feel that this war is wrong on many levels and seems to be about GAS not Terriorists. And NO WAR should ever be fought without the approval of the citizens. What is wrong with the plain truth? Why must everything the government does be a secret from the Americian people. We employ them the answer to us as a whole. So if you can get some backers and find a newpaper to listen maybe they will go ahead and correct the problem. We can all be squeeky wheels if we want to. We are the owners of the country not the government. Don't give up help is out there. VJ
