Why aren't Democrats supporting legalizing hemp? Hemp can provide fuels, foods, fibers, medicines and can be used recreationally--the most benign of all substances.
Hemp fuels can give us energy independence from fossil fuels and foreign oils. Hemp can provide a renewable and sustainable source of products.
Hemp planted in April can be ready for harvest in August. It'd be ready for the pyrolytic processing facility by December. Fuels could be on the way to the pumps by Christmas or shortly after New Year's.
Now how does that compare to having to wait five or more years to realize any benefit from off-shore drilling for oil as the Repugs advocate?
