It is time to take back out country. No more lies. No more excuses. Impeach Bush and Cheney and charge the administration and those who were part of the process with war crimes, crimes against humanity, and do it now.
Protect our Constitution. Protect our Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Do something right for the first time. Stop the war. Stop the war profiteering. Stop the gutting of our economy now.

I want to second the 'Get A Backbone' comment. I'd very much like to see Clean Elections, but it seems to me that the first step should be the impeachment of the criminal Bush Administration for stealing the 2000 and 2004 elections in the first place. But one could even skip that and throw him on the dustheap of history for his murderous illegal war against Iraq or for his many other International War Crimes.
I expect my elected leaders to stand firm on fundamental principles, but the Democratic Congressional 'misleadership' has taken essential accountability 'off the table'! Given our Party's shameful waffling, and our Nation's inadequate two-party-only political system, we're being left with few alternatives.
Many people, including Bruce Fein, a Republican who wrote articles of impeachment against President Clinton, think impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney is the best way to reverse the administration's assault on the Constitution.
Secondly, the Head Prosecutor for International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against a sitting president (albeit a black, third-world president). One of the points he made is that there is no investigation into the actions of President al Bashir currently underway in the Sudan. Rather, there are investigations into those who have opposed the genocide in Darfur. Is it going to take action from the ICC or from a Spanish Judge Garzón to investigate whether this U.S. admninstration has commited crimes against humanity?
Thirdly, Mrs. Polosi should not be afraid of becoming the first woman president of the United States. We could have both the first constitutional female president, and the first African-American president within six months. American voters will reward a party led by someone who does the right thing, and shows she has a backbone.
