Citizens participation in Government acts

It is about time that "Citizens take the power" away from our elected officials and put the burden back into the hands of citizens. With the Internet it should be possible to reach everyone. If they register to vote and provide Proof of Citizenship, they should be able to get monthly newletters stating up coming acts and VOTE from several locations. They can be password protected with secret key passwords so it can not be Hacked. They can VOTE from the Web; cell phone, or in person at every City hall facility. Providing them safety and allowing everyone over 18 and a citizen to vote on issues of our government. After all they are employees who work for us!

    This is a very constuctive idea with the best of motivation. However, I would remind the poser that both Goodgle and Yahoo have been exposed as having cooperated with the Chinese government to pinpoint dissenters. Bush, Chaney, and their ilk are little better than the Chinese government officials. Maybe worse, since at least the Chinese government has been actively improving the material welfare of the citizens of China instead of shaking them down to finance a war for the rich and power-mad.
