  LOST EMAIL

  Does it bother you that Karl Rove has accidentally lost all of his email — but, thanks to illegal surveillance, he might still have all of yours? Now that Telcos are immune from CIVIL lawsuits will you pursue CRIMINAL charges against those responsible for telling the Telcos that it was legal to spy on any and all Americans?   Please address your answer to Joseph Nacchio, former CEO of Quest Communications, who has since lost his freedom and to Quest shareholders who lost lost their shirts when Quest was denied government contracts.

  Windfall profits and war profiteers

  Why haven't we taxed windfall profits and demanded salary caps for executives of oil companies and others (Haliburon/KBR, Blackwater, Bechtel, Titan, Aegis, Custer Battles, General Dynamics, Nour, etc) who are reaping obscene profits from the prosecution of the war. Why not repeal the subsidies, demand repayment of same and tax the profits and tell them they can make their money back when Iraqi oil starts paying for the ...more »

  Why haven't we taxed windfall profits and demanded salary caps for executives of oil companies and others (Haliburon/KBR, Blackwater, Bechtel, Titan, Aegis, Custer Battles, General Dynamics, Nour, etc) who are reaping obscene profits from the prosecution of the war. Why not repeal the subsidies, demand repayment of same and tax the profits and tell them they can make their money back when Iraqi oil starts paying for the war? As it stands now, they will be reaping those benefits soon enough. Why should tax payers pay the bill AND send their kids AND THEN pay 3 times for gas what they were paying before we went?

  How can we ever expect honesty in government when the most obvious an egregious disregard for due process, habeas corpus, checks and balances, accountability, competency, (I could go on) are not pursued to the full extent of the law. What the hell good is a subpoena if no one connected to the executive? If the President gets to use a signing statement or a perceived "inherent right" to disregard or misapply and law he ...more »

What the hell good is a subpoena if no one connected to the executive? If the President gets to use a signing statement or a perceived "inherent right" to disregard or misapply and law he sees fit then what the hell good will electing a Democratic President and Congress do us? The next Independent or Republican or Peace and Freedom Party President can just disregard any law he/she/it doesn't like.
