My name is Jason Knight from San Diego California. I am a former Navy Linguist and was discharged under Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

Earlier this year, you intervened when the DOD refused to allow Representative Tammy Baldwin's partner join her on a flight because she was not considered a spouse. This event and your willingness to be outspoken has placed you in an important position to afford equality to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans - especially those that serve in our military.

What do you plan to do to see that Don't Ask, Don't Tell is finally repealed and what is your motivation in doing so?

Thanks for the comments v but there is a lot about DADT that many do not understand. First is that there are allready gays and lesbians serving in our military, always have and always will.

The difficult thing is that the law mandates that someone is to be fired and removed from the military if they are found to be gay or lesbian. This can be from anything from a photo on myspace to a simple rumor. This has nothing to do with conduct and is ousting able bodied Servicemembers simply based on who they are. This law is unamerican and needs to be repealed.
