Why don't you prevent congress from having extra bills attached to any legislation? If you don't regulate that, who does? We are tired of bills getting stopped or passed only because of other items attached to them (not talking about amendments to the bills, but attachments of other bills). Congress should be voting on bills individually, not lumped together. Most of the time these items lumped together have no relationship

Why don't you prevent congress from having extra bills attached to any legislation? If you don't regulate that, who does? We are tired of bills getting stopped or passed only because of other items attached to them (not talking about amendments to the bills, but attachments of other bills). Congress should be voting on bills individually, not lumped together. Most of the time these items lumped together have no relationship to each other at all. If your answer is for expediency in getting things through congress, I disagree totally with that premise. Also, why doesn't congress ever seek or heed advice from the electorate? Why don't you ask your constituency what they think about bills that are on the floor before casting your vote? Is the only thing that matters the money you receive from special interests? It sure appears that way to many of us.
